Yes. This is a bare rental, which means the renter provides a qualified operator. We supply the machine in clean, serviced, ready-to-work condition. You supply the person who runs it. The operator should be experienced with hydraulic excavators and familiar with pre-operation inspections and daily greasing.

You need a certificate of insurance (COI) naming Caisson Equipment LLC as additional insured. The policy should cover general liability and inland marine / equipment floater for the full replacement value of the machine. Your insurance agent will know exactly what to issue. The COI must be on file before the machine leaves our yard.

The renter arranges lowboy transport to and from the job site. The 313 GC has a transport weight of approximately 30,400 lbs, a transport height of 9’5″, and a transport length of 27’11”. Most lowboy operators in the area are familiar with machines this size. If you need a referral for a hauler, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

Yes. We require a security deposit before the rental begins. The amount depends on the rental duration and is discussed when you book. The deposit is fully refundable when the machine is returned in the same condition it was delivered, less normal wear and tear.

The machine is delivered serviced, inspected, and fueled. All filters, fluids, and wear items are current. You get a clean, ready-to-work excavator with an articulating thumb and pin grabber quick coupler installed. The renter is responsible for daily pre-operation inspection, greasing, and returning the machine fueled.

As far ahead as possible. We have one machine, so availability is first-come, first-served. If you know your project dates, lock them in early. We can often accommodate short-notice requests, but planning ahead guarantees your spot.

Usually, yes — as long as there isn’t another rental booked immediately after yours. Call us as soon as you know you need more time and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Extensions are billed at the same rate structure.

Call us immediately. Mechanical breakdowns that aren’t caused by operator error or misuse are on us. We’ll arrange service or a resolution as fast as possible. Downtime caused by mechanical failure will be credited to your rental period. If the breakdown is caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect of daily maintenance, the renter is responsible for repair costs.
